A few years ago, we were tasked with sourcing a very specific home for clients relocating to Budapest: a Baroque-style mansion on the edge of the city centre. With Budapest’s 23 distinct districts—each offering its own character—we carefully assessed lifestyle priorities, balancing tranquillity with proximity to the city’s cultural and social life.
After reviewing numerous options, our focus settled on Rézmál in the Second District, on the prestigious Buda side of the Danube. Known for its historic elegance and leafy surroundings, it proved to be the perfect setting.
The mansion we secured, originally built in 1932, had been impeccably restored in 2008, blending period detail with modern luxury. Spanning 700 square metres, it offered four bedrooms, extensive wellness facilities, a heated indoor pool, wine cellar, landscaped gardens, and garage parking. From handcrafted interiors to state-of-the-art systems, it was a rare and exceptional find—one that felt less like a transaction and more like uncovering a truly timeless home.
