We were commissioned to research, source, and identify a commercial building capable of functioning as a truly unique events venue. The brief was highly specific in terms of physical requirements, but unrestricted geographically. The building needed to offer an internal ceiling height in excess of 50 metres, alongside a minimum floor area of 350 square metres.
This level of flexibility allowed us to conduct a global search, reviewing suitable opportunities across Australia, Germany, Hungary, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Each market was assessed carefully against structural feasibility, access, adaptability, and long-term potential.
Ultimately, the successful option was located just outside Rio de Janeiro, approximately 45 minutes by car. The building not only met the stringent dimensional criteria but also offered the scale, character, and adaptability required to support high-impact, large-format events. It represented a rare alignment of architectural capability and functional versatility, delivering precisely what the brief demanded.
